A Heating Elements, Electric / Electrical Elements converts electricity into heat through the process of Joule heating. Electric current through the elements encounters resistance, resulting in heating of the elements.

Most Heating Elements, Electric / Electrical Elements use Nichrome 80/20 (80% nickel, 20% chromium) wire, ribbon or strip. Nichrome 80/20 is an ideal material, because it has relatively high resistance and forms an adherent layer of chromium oxide when it is heated for the first time. Material beneath the wire will not oxidize, preventing the wire from breaking or burning out.

Heating Elements, Electric / Electrical Elements for high-temperature furnaces are often made of exotic materials, including platinum, molybdenum disilicide, molybdenum (vacuum furnaces) and silicon carbide. Silicon carbide igniters are common in gas ovens.

All types of electric / electrical heating elements including many specialised varieties for medical, scientific, domestic and industrial applications. Load banks and other resistor type products are also manufactured.

Heating Elements, Electric / Electrical Elements are conceptual abstractions representing idealized Heating components, such as resistors, capacitors and inductors, used in the analysis of Heating Electric networks. Any electrical network can be analysed as multiple, interconnected Heating Electrical Elements in a schematic diagram or circuit diagram, each of which affects the voltage in the network or current through the network. These ideal heating elements represent real, physical electrical or electronic components but they do not exist physically and they are assumed to have ideal properties according to a lumped elements model, while components are objects with less than ideal properties, a degree of uncertainty in their values and some degree of nonlinearity, each of which may require a combination of multiple heating elements in order to approximate its function.

All electric heating elements as the most versatile of, tubular heating elements offer a wide range of controls, ratings, forms and sheath materials can be applied to almost any temperature requirement, like for heating of solids, liquids or gases. The tubular heating elements allows forming in various shapes, helps as the advantages of improved heat distribution, greater compactness and simple installation in many industrial applications.
Tubular heating elements are constructed from a metal tubular material for specific applications. Basically the sheath, surrounds a helical coil of nickel-chrome resistance wire, centred and tightly compacted by an electrical insulator and heat transfer medium of magnesium oxide (MgO) helping in giving a resistance spiral that can be varied in heat distribution and cold length sections, protected from atmospheric corrosion and mechanical abuse.
